Why do you need more protein in your diet? How to start?
When picturing a balanced meal, protein is likely one of the main components you see on your plate, whether you’re aware of it or not. Perhaps chicken, rice and broccoli, or steak, with mash and asparagus. Protein is often a dish's main component, and for good reason. Spices and herbs are the perfect way to enhance protein flavours in a healthy way.
Ramadan, the importance of fasting, food and family.
Food is considered essential during Ramadan, not only because it is necessary to sustain the body but also because it plays an important role in the cultural and religious practices of the month. Fasting is as important as the coming together over “iftar” with family and friends. Ramadan is a lot more than praying and fasting but when the fasting is over there are so many wonderful meals and beverages to remind you of what life is all about.
"Persian Advieh"
There are numerous variations of Advieh, each with its own blend of spices. The word "Advieh" literally translates to "Spice" in Persian. Predominately the Persian range of Advieh Spice blends are influenced by Iranian heritage. As with all ancient blends, influence can come from more than one region. In this instance, Afghan, Jewish, Kurdish, Pakistani, Turkish (Türkler) along with Azerbaijani culture and their kaleidoscope of cuisine.
Our Great Taste Award
Our award winning "Advieh-E Khoresh" is an aromatic spice blend. Full bodied, rich in Black Lime (Loomi) from the country of Oman, Rose Petals from Türkiye (Turkey) and Saffron from Spain alongside flavours such as Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, and Turmeric. It has a scent of grassy, honeyed notes with a subtle sweetness. You can certainly taste the slight bitterness and spiciness from the rich Saffron. "Great Taste Award 2022"

A History of Pancakes
The history of pancakes dates back 1000's of years.

The 'Boston' Cocktail Shaker
In its earliest form from the mid-19
th
century, the “Boston” was manifested in the form of two vessels jammed together to reveal a shaker contraption of sorts. It was the luxury that we take for granted "ice" that Frederic Tudor (Ice King) brought to warmer climates for drinks. An entrepreneurial Boston native from North America that harvested ice from the Lakes of Massachusetts in the early 19
th
century.
